Students of the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism published two instructional newspapers during the Newsroom course. The course took place from December 1st till December 5th.
Călătorul and Culturobuz are two newspapers elaborated hundred percent by the students. Students themselves created the title, design, and decided what articles to write. During these activities the young journalists applied the practical knowledge gained during the first three months of learning at the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism. The exercise represents a professional test at the end of the printing module.
Călătorul newspaper is a publication for travelers or people who pass through Chisinau railway station. The readers can read news, reportages, investigation stories and advices for travelers. All these are included in compartments Ai bilet, dar n-ai noroc, La noi ca la nimeni, Rău de drum, Valiza Pandorei, Călătorul in criză, Tot pe jos, tot pe carare... and Călător in misiune.
Culturobuz is a publication for "consumer culture" and reflects various events, whether they are part of a small circle or large demand by people. Premiera, Arte plastice, Atac de cord and Arena teatrală are just a few columns which publish news, reviews and reportages written by students.
Editorial teams were assisted by the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism instructors Vitalie Dogaru, Sorina Stefirta, Angela Ivanesi and Eugen Luchianiuc.
Călătorul and Culturobuz were published with a circulation of five hundred copies each, size A3, black and white. The eight-page newspapers will be distributed to mass media during Annual Press Club organized by Independent Journalism Centre.
This is the third year when students from School published newspapers. In the first year they edited two community newspapers: Eveniment Central and Curier de Botanica (for Central and Botanica sector from Chisinau) and in the second year they edited - Ora de virf and Epicentru.
