An on-line newspaper published by the students of the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism

An electronic publication (http://www.scoaladejurnalism.md/chisinauonline/) was published by the students of the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism. The On-line Journalism course took place January 21-25.

The novelty of this media product consists in the presentation of information: text with audio, videos and photo files. All materials are produced by the students of the School. The subjects are divided into the following categories: People, Housing, Transportation, Economics, Roads, Environment, Services, and Culture.

Houses for those without homes, How much costs a hollow on the streets, Improvised balconies, Lakes of milk on Chisinau streets – are just some of the articles describing Chisinau and its residents.

„The fact that we got feedback from our readers motivated us to continue work on this project. We would like very much to do this in future”, said Maria Aramă, a student at the School.

As part of the On-line Journalism course the students created their own blogs (http://scoaladejurnalism.md/en/student.php). The course was conducted by Wouter von Wijk (Holland) and Corina Samciuc (Moldova).

The Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism is a major project of the Independent Journalism Center. Its aim is to prepare 20 journalists annually who will be able to apply international standards and practices of journalism in their daily work.

Recently, the Independent Journalism Center announced the start of the application process for postgraduate studies at the Chisinau School of Advanced Journalism for the next 2008-2009 school year. More details can be found at http://www.scoaladejurnalism.md/en.
