Maria graduated the High School "Mihai Eminescu", Balti, and studied afterwards at the Pedagogical College "Ion Creaga" from the same town. In 2004 she graduates the faculty of Foreign Languages, State University "Alecu Russo", Balti, where she later gets her master's degree in Modern and Classical Languages. Starting with 2004 she has been working as assistant at the university, as reporter and editor-translator at the news agency Deca-press, Balti.
